1980 Jeep CJ5, "Burgie"

Burgie was a wreck when we came upon her out near Alabama - the real adventure was driving what seemed like days on single lane country roads until a neighborhood sprung up out of nowhere and she endeared herself to us in all her rusted glory.

At first glance I was skeptical whether Burgie was worth our time, but the more I looked the more I liked. Further inspection revealed she was all original, including a rare factory optioned Laredo package. Not to mention she drove straight as an arrow. I was sold. After a round of lengthy discussions with the owner we were off with this two owner, titled beauty back to Atlanta - I even drove her all the back, almost two hours with zero problems!

After stripping the entire Jeep and removing and sourcing new panels and fenders she was sealed, primed and painted - interior and exterior. Burgie also had a brand new carpet kit installed as well as matching seat covers, Laredo dash and a host of other factory spec knobs and details bringing her back to her former glory. As you can see by the pictures she was quite a handful. A week later Burgie was off to her new home in South Georgia. Rescued and restored.
